MN State Fair

Kelly attended the MN state Fair on the first Sat. of the fair. This is the most widely attended state fair in the country second only to Texas who stay open a few days longer.  In my opinion the MN state fair is much better because it isn't in Texas and again it isn't in Texas.   The weather was beautiful and while we tried a few foods on the stick only pics were taken of the chocolate dipped bacon, deep fried candy bars and other Fair "delicacies."  The best thing we tried were the Walleye Cakes.  The most interesting things we saw were the topiary stand with anything from the year 2008 to a giant giraffe...if only we had a garden; the butter carvings; the live birth calf and goat barn and of course all the extremely obese people...my goodness!  When I say obese I mean a good 100 lbs over weight and lots of them...hello MN. Stop eating all the fried food on a stick!
