The Great MN Get Together

I will attend the MN State Fair on Sat. for the first time in 15 years. So much has changed, I plan to try to eat the most bizarre food I can find on a stick...if you have some ideas please add a comment. A few of the new items on a stick for 2008 include: 1/3 slice of bacon, fried and carmelized with maple syrup served with dipping sauces (hello heart attack); "pig lickers"-chocolate covered, crisp fried bacon pieces...sounds disgusting but it is covered in chocolate so can't be all that bad; "walking taco"-all the fixings in a dorito bag, this isn't that unusual and I have had this before with tortilla chips not Doritos; and a "pickle-pop" which is frozen pickle juice in a push up sleeve. Of course all the classics on a stick are still available: pork chops, walleye, pizza(foot long), spaghetti and meatballs, tatortot hotdish, keylime pie(frozen and covered in chocolate), and cheese curds (deep fried of course). The full food map can be found on Startribune.com
