40th Birthday Dinner - Orson

Last night Kelly took Jose out for a lovely dinner at Orson. Orson is a new restaurant run by the same people who run Citizen Cake. It is an extremely lively place and has a rather popular bar scene. The reviews have been all over the place, but we both enjoyed our experience. The manager worked at Jack Falstaff before helping launch Orson. Kelly forgot her camera, but here is a picture of a meal that we did not eat to give you an idea of their presentation. Kelly had one of their inventive pizzas with hamhock, arugula and goat cheese; Jose had the chicken beer sausage, nectarine, frisee, pistachio and gnocchi. They were both fantastic.

The locale is also quite nice. It is dark and loud, so perhaps not for everyone. Feels like a NYC type restaurant. The walls are painted black. Here is a picture of the interior. Jose's new office is three doors down, so perhaps there will be future happy hours at Orson.
