Canton Dim Sum & Seafood Restaurant

We attended our somewhat-annual dim sum with some of our good friends at the Cantom Dim Sum & Seafood Restaurant. Jose has been to this place several times as it is down the street from his old office. This is a real traditional Dim Sum place on Folsom street near 3rd street. The atmosphere is rustic, and that is the charm, back street Hong Kong restaurant. The only down side is that they do not seem to have heat. It was cold today in San Francisco, and perhaps colder in the restaurant.

The food comes fast and furious via little carts with all sorts of treats. Pork buns, sticky rice, steamed shrimp dumplings, honey walnut shrimp, etc. The food is good and hot. There were 13 of us and we ordered tons. The best part is that it was only $20 per person! No one could believe it.

This is also our white elephant party so everyone brought simple gag gifts. Kelly made two gifts that included items that we have been wanting to get rid of such as logo t-shirts, hats, etc from prior companies. There were some really funny gifts included in the mix. Jose walked away with a Shrek Chia Head. Very cool. He will be growing it in his office. Stay tuned for pictures.
